TL1 co-lead Jacob Sosnoff, Ph.D., FASAHP, associate dean for research in the School of Health Professions at KU Medical Center, was recognized with the Fellows Program Award from the Association of Schools Advancing Health Professions.
The scientific art of Bec McLennan, Ph.D., one of our navigators, was among those shown at a special Science2Art Exhibit Reveal on Oct. 1. The art, along with other pieces, are being auctioned off as part of the BioNexus KC Science2Art fundraiser.
Stephani Stancil, Ph.D, APRN, who is a past KL2 scholar, received the Children’s Mercy Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Research/Quality Improvement Achievement Award for her efforts as an APP and valued member of the Divisions of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology, Toxicology and Therapeutic Innovation. In addition, Stancil revied a $150,000 Maternal and Pediatric Precision In Therapeutics (MPRINT) P30 award from Indiana University through the NIG’s Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD). Her co-investigator is Frontiers co-PI Steve Leeder, PharmD, Ph.D.
KL2 co-lead Nikki Nollen, Ph.D., has been named a new Fellow for the Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco (SRNT). Nollen is a professor in the KU Medical Center School of Population Health and a co-lead of the KU Cancer Center Cancer Prevention and Control Program, in additon to her role with Frontiers.
