The University of Kansas Medical Center and Frontiers Clinical and Translational Science Institute are proud to announce that Brittany Martinez, Ph.D., a current Frontiers TL1 Postdoctoral Scholar, has been accepted into the 2025 National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) Clinical and Translational Research (CTR) Summer Course.
The CTR Summer Course is a competitive and highly regarded program that brings together early-career researchers from across the country to advance their knowledge in clinical and translational research. This year’s course will be held virtually from July 7–11, 2025, and will feature a combination of live presentations, interactive discussions, and on-demand lectures from NIH experts and leaders in biomedical research.
Martinez’s selection reflects her dedication to advancing human health through rigorous scientific training and collaboration. During the course, she will have opportunities to engage directly with NIH investigators, explore the workings of NIH Institutional Review Boards, and connect with program administrators to expand her research network and explore potential career pathways.
“We are thrilled to see Dr. Martinez recognized at the national level for her commitment to clinical and translational science,” said Holly Zink, Ph.D., MSA, Director of the Frontiers Career Development and Training Programs. “This opportunity will further empower her to make impactful contributions to health research.”
