World No Tobacco Day webinar hosted by the World Health Organization

Action on Smoking and Health, the African American Tobacco Control Leadership Council, the CDC Foundation, and Truth Initiative host this webinar to amplify the 2026 World No Tobacco Day Theme, "Unmasking the appeal – countering nicotine and tobacco addiction."
Kristy Marynak, PhD, MPP, Senior Director for Tobacco Control Initiatives at the CDC Foundation, will discuss the truth about nicotine: what science says—and what the industry isn’t telling you. Dr. Jessica Rath, Senior Vice President at Truth Initiative, will review tobacco industry manipulation tactics both branded and unbranded. And Carol McGruder, Co-Chair of the African American Tobacco Control Leadership Council, will highlight how menthol flavoring is used as an industry tactic.
