Join us at our monthly Digital Health Seminar, an open, interdisciplinary R&D meeting hosted by the Digital Health Co/Lab at the University of Kansas.

The April 23 meeting will include a presentation by Russell Ball, founder of MyHealthSentry:

Getting People to Take a Long-Term Approach to their Health

What if we approached our health the same way we approach financial retirement planning—by aggressively accumulating essential health assets like lean muscle mass, VO₂ max, and bone density decades before we enter our marginal years? Could we make more meaningful progress in reducing the prevalence of chronic diseases by adopting a longer-term view—one that encourages people to prevent incremental damage to their bodies over time?

These questions led me to launch a startup focused on helping people better understand their risk factors for chronic disease, frailty, and reduced healthspan. In this presentation, I’ll share the approach I’ve taken so far, my vision for the future, and my thoughts on tackling one of the most stubborn challenges in health improvement, especially if you extend the time horizon: motivation.

The presentation will be followed by Q/A and open discussion.

These seminars provide a unique platform for innovators at all career stages to present their work, including innovations, grant proposals, business plans, and investor pitches. Participants will benefit from invaluable feedback from experienced professionals.

You can see all upcoming meetings, and if you or a colleague would like to present at a future session, please complete the intake form by visiting our website.
