DESCRIPTION:Building high-performing teams is challenging, especially when few are trained to lead effectively. In this interactive session, you will learn how to create a safe space where transdisciplinary research teams can thrive by


	Better understanding how forming transdisciplinary teams enhances research productivity and innovation,
	Exploring strategies for fostering shared leadership to empower team members, and
	Developing skills to become intentional, effective leaders and collaborators.


By reflecting on personal team experiences, participants will gain practical insights and create concrete, actionable applications for their teams.

This workshop will be facilitated by Whitney Sweeney, PhD, Scientist with Team Science at the Institute for Clinical & Translational Research, UW–Madison. She holds a PhD in cognitive and biological psychology from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Leveraging over 20 years of experience in higher education, she empowers teams to establish effective processes that lead to enhanced communication, psychologically safe team cultures, and innovative collaborative problem-solving.
